Ginger Must've Liked Chinese Food
My mother just told me that her boss had lunch with Ginger about 30 years ago because one of his friends wanted them to meet. I got excited because I always wanted to know what sort of a personality she had. At first my mom starts going on about how she looked (typical). But then she told me her boss said Ginger was very friendly and down-to-earth, which is how I imagined she'd be. She still carried a child-like enthusiasm and was eager to meet someone new. I felt reassured to learn this because it solidified my high opinion of her.
Oh, and regarding the title of this post, they ate Chinese.

OK...hold it, hold it, back up...
WHO does your mom work for???
And WHO was this friend who set this up???
And WHEN are going to go conduct an in-depth interview with the boss dude concerning the event???
And WHEN you do that, just shake the dude's hand for me, and tell him he is a very fortunate son!!!
MAN...see, NOW you have thrown a big monkey wrench into things, this fellow who has actually MET with Ginger...it's like a ephipany of MAJOR proportions...
And I have a pretty good hunch Ginger was a big Chinese food fan... just a hunch...
Haha I love you.
My mother works at ABS, the clothing company. So I'm assuming she's referring to Allen Schwartz meeting Ginger. Yeah, I don't really see myself having a conversation with him, unless I get famous enough to go to the Emmys and wear a dress Mr. Schwartz will think is worth copying.
I feel like now I have so many connections (albeit loose) to Ginger, I just wish I could have known her. She seems so genuine.
Lauren
...well, COOL! Tell the 'Schwartz-anator' that he has a fan in the Ham!!! ...well, not really for clothing or anything (I know nothing about that), but just for his Ginger Encounter...that is RIGHTEOUS!!!
Ginger was a very cool person, no doubt...that's why that book that paints her in a bad light REALLY irks me... the 'Shall We Dance' book. I mean, not that she could really hang out with 'normal' folks...she WAS a star, right? But I DO think she was gracious to her public, from all accounts I have read (except for the goofy book I referred to above)...
That is so cool! Lauren, I think out of all of us you have the most Ginger connections. :)
